Did you know this Saturday, Sept. 29 is National Coffee Day? Probably not because in some ways every day is National Coffee Day considering the way Americans consume it. The number of Americans drinking a daily cup of coffee is at the highest level since 2012 with 64% of Americans age 18 or over saying they had at least a cup of coffee the day before.
But Saturday will be a little special because a number of your favorite coffee chains will be giving away free cups of coffee and more. Here is where to get a free cup of joe this Saturday (which surprisingly doesn’t include Starbucks):
They changed their name this week, but the coffee is still the same and anyone who purchases a hot coffee will get another hot coffee of equal or lesser value for free.
You don’t even have to buy a donut to get a free cup of coffee at Krispy Kreme, but you really should as they just introduced a new “Original Glaze” flavor for their coffee.
Bulletproof will be running a NATIONWIDE special in honor of National Coffee Day which will be ALL-DAY $1 COFFEE at their Bulletproof Café’s – located in Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Seattle, and New York. To kick off the holiday, Bulletproof has partnered with World Renowned Coffee Artist @baristart to offer complimentary latte art at NYC wellness retail store. Previews start today.
Barnes & Noble Cafés
Starbucks technically doesn’t participate on this day but Barnes & Noble, which carries Starbucks, is giving away free tall hot or iced coffee, no purchase required.
While not free, it’s a bit cheaper: You can get any size coffee for only $1, or buy a medium or large McCafe beverage and get another for 1 cent.
Peet’s Coffee & Tea
Peet’s has a few deals going on including 1-lb. bags of coffee beans being discounted 25% and then for those who buy 1 lb. of coffee they will also get a cup of coffee or tea for free.
Corner Bakery Cafe
All stores will be giving away free hot coffee or cold brew with any purchase on both Friday and Saturday.
